Niels de Wit (ex-Electric Tears, Johan a.o.), Simone Mansveld (ex-Bugs a.o.) and Frank Cuup got together to play their favourite songs by Buzzcocks, Rousers, Groovies etc, then started writing their own songs in the same vein.
